There's a thing called the smash factor.

 

 

 

 

What is a Smash Factor?

The smash factor is the speed of the ball divided by the speed of the golf club head when the ball is hit.
The better the quality of the club and ball, the higher the smash factor.
And the better you hit in the sweet spot on the golf club head, the higher it comes out.

Then why is the smash factor important?

I'll explain the next picture in a nutshell.
1. (Up) When the club speed is fast and it doesn't hit the sweet spot, it flies 196 yards.
2. (below) Even if the club speed is slow, the ball goes further (204 yards) when it hits the sweet spot well.
